Nymburk - Rudupis 80:83
Rudupis earned the second win in Euro Cup campaign as they upset Nymburk in Czech Republic tonight. Gintaras Kadziulis (193-G-80) scored 19 points to pace the Lithuanian team as they improved at 2-2 record in Group C. Nymburk in the meantime suffered the first loss at the tournament and fell at 3-1 record.
Nymburk had little problems in the opening frame. The hosts quite expectedly grabbed a 22:18 lead after ten minutes. But Rudupis struck right back in the second quarter. They went on a 23:13 run to steal a 41:35 halftime advantage. The visitors exploded with 25 points in the third term to boost the gap to 7 points with ten minutes remaining.
Nymburk went on a desperate rescue rally in the final frame but Rudupis stayed calm and sealed the winning outcome at the end. Ariminas Urbutis (205-C/F-86) provided 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Dainius Salenga (197-F-77) had 14 points in the victory. Petr Benda (203-F/C-82) led all scorers with 24 points for Nymburk A.J. Abrams (180-G-86, college: Texas) finished with 17 points in the loss.
