Dainius Salenga has officially left the Rudupis team. Dainius had had a clause in his contract where it could be terminated before the end of the season.

VEF, Riga showed an interest and was close in signing a deal until the end of this season but the unexpected offer from Zalgiris has changed the plans. VEF was a good choice for Dainius but he could not resist to his beloved team Zalgiris.

Dainius will finish this season with a possibility to extend the contract for one more year. Salenga returns to Zalgiris after a one year break.

The swingman averaged 12.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists in this year's EuroCup regular season.
